Alice Poyzer for Paul Smith’s Archive Residency

Alice Poyzer shares new imagery from her ongoing time on the Paul Smith’s Archive Residency.

Captured earlier this month, Alice’s photography continues to evolve as she explores new ideas within the archive residency programme. Selected as the inaugural artist for this new biannual creative project and grant, Alice has been invited to respond to the extensive Archive of Paul Smith’s work in Nottingham—an extraordinary collection of over 5,000 garments, accessories, press cuttings, look-books, magazines, and objects. Nominated by photographer and long-term Paul Smith collaborator Julian Broad, Alice brings a unique sensitivity to the residency, approaching the archive fresh eyes and curiosity. We look forward to sharing more as her residency unfolds.
