Selected as the inaugural artist for this new biannual creative project and grant, Alice Poyzer was invited to respond to the extensive Archive of Paul Smith’s work in Nottingham—an extraordinary collection of over 5,000 garments, accessories, press cuttings, look-books, magazines, and objects.
Nominated by photographer and long-term Paul Smith collaborator Julian Broad, Alice brings a unique sensitivity to the residency, approaching the archive fresh eyes and curiosity.
We're pleased to present the body of work Alice has created in her time during the residency, of which will be donated to the Foundation and live within the archive.
