The International Art Prize Exhibition

The exhibition celebrating the winners of the International Art Prize is now open at the Paul Smith Space on Albemarle Street.

In collaboration with Winsor & Newton, the exhibition brings together works by six artists selected from this year’s global open call, each responding to the theme ‘Defining your point of view’. Founded by Winsor & Newton and Paul Smith’s Foundation, the International Art Prize supports emerging talent in drawing and painting.

Each of the six artists received £1,000 of Winsor & Newton materials and £1,000 from the Foundation to create new work, alongside mentoring, a local Paul Smith store presentation, and a final group exhibition in London. The launch included a press morning, a collectors’ preview and an opening-night private view attended by industry figures including Zandra Rhodes, Ava Ark, Maureen Paley and Genevieve Gaunt.

The day saw industry professionals from the art world come together to celebrate new talent in London's busiest area for art, at the Paul Smith shop in Mayfair - 9 Albemarle Street. Our press morning was sponsored by Fortnum & Mason & the Collectors Preview was an intimate tour of the works with both prize winning artists and those in the group show.

In the evening, the Private View welcomed guests with a total of 300 people in attendance.
