Last week we celebrated Jackie Liu, the New York winner of the International Art Prize 2026 in a panel discussion with Sergio Pardo López, Director at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs & Jenny Wu, associate editor for ArtReview, and reveal of her new work, Brunch of Good Fortune.

Taking 251 hours to complete, Brunch of Good Fortune was created in response to the theme of ‘making an impression’ - Brunch of Good Fortune, Oil & Acrylic on Wood Panel, 2026 - the subject of which is Tina – second-generation acupuncturist, herbal healer, supreme cultivator of care and community – unites our hungry spirits and stomachs to usher in the swiftly galloping Year of the Fire Horse. (Soba the therapy dog also joins the festivities.) Replete with delicacies from takeout Korean fried chicken to homemade matcha mochi waffles, the glorious potluck feast presents a mouthwatering manifestation of how small individual offerings can coalesce into grand collective abundance. Guests included artist Ali Basinadr, gallerist Nick Olney, and Marcus Civin from the Pratt Institute amongst others. For sales, please contact the shop directly or email info@paulsmithsfoundation.org to enquire. 100% of proceeds will go to the artist.
