“I'm very sad to learn of the passing of Martin Parr, a joyful photographer and someone who I was fortunate to call a friend. It was an honour to know him and observe his brilliant wit and skill of the “caught moment” - Sir Paul Smith.

Paul Smith’s Foundation launches an open call for photographers in homage to his friend, the late photographer, Martin

Parr. Applicants are invited to submit new or existing works under the theme of ‘The Caught Moment’.

Applicants should submit their images in an online folder to info@paulsmithsfoundation.org at print-ready quality (10mb each) by 8th January 2026.

Entries will be assessed by Sir Paul Smith, designer and ceramicist Henry Holland and 2025 Turner Prize shortlisted artist, Rene Matić.

The winning entry will have their work printed and donated to the Martin Parr Foundation.
