Successful creatives will gain access to a free studio space for 18 months at Studio Smithfield in the heart of London, funded by the Mayor of London and Projekt and alongside over 60 hours of personal and business skills mentoring in the areas of legal, finance, production and marketing, among others from an experienced network of industry volunteers – giving emerging designers the skills to build a sustainable career.
The Fashion Residency has been designed to address the key issues facing early career designers, including shipping and logistics, cashflow, production, common legals issues, HR, marketing and ecommerce, licensing, manufacturing and more. Designers will also receive 10 hours of pro bono support from international law firm, Osborne Clarke.
